Last week on the Rico Report, Rico sat down with Buffalo Bills wide receiver Tanner Gentry. They discussed his college days at Wyoming, his relationship with Josh Allen, and his journey to the NFL. Here are some of the key takeaways;

Gentry and Allen both formed a bond when injured at the University of Wyoming. He noted it was difficult for both of them to have to sit on the sidelines and have to watch their team struggle knowing they couldn't be out there on the field to help.

On Allen, Gentry noted he is the "same dude" in the NFL as he was in college. A natural leader that his teammates are just drawn to. Gentry believes that what makes Allen a true franchise quarterback. His teammates rally around him and will do anything for him. Just don't expect Gentry to get in on any of Allen's trademark handshakes as Gentry prefers a more subdued approach to celebrating big plays.

Gentry believes he can be a boundary receiver or slot receiver for the Buffalo Bills although he prefers playing in the slot. He discusses the issues he has had throughout his career with people stereotyping him athletically because he is a white wide receiver. He disdain's the Wes Welker comparison as he is 6 inches taller and runs a 4.4 40 yard dash. He models his game after former Cowboys great Dez Bryant and believes he can "go up and get it" and be "open even when he isn't open" just like Dez.

Gentry also noted the Buffalo Bills training facilities were world-class and far superior to the facilities he had access to in his time in Chicago. The Buffalo Bills investments in these facilities could pay dividends in recruiting and retaining free agents.
