Miss Laura and the Madame

Miss Laura and the Madam take a journey through memory lane, recalling images in the media, movies, TV, advertisements, and some of the teachings from their parents, teachers, and mentors growing up. They have a discussion, including sharing stories of the impact these images had on them as young women - and what they see today in the media that perpetuates stereotypes.

The result - a wish list of things that they would like to see moving forward - changes in the media and in some of the materials that are provided to our youth and to everyone - to better reflect the reality of the world we live in. A world without as much or any photoshop dieting, enforced stereotypes, and whitewashing of iconic characters in Movies and TV series.
