My guest this week is Natalie Schulz. Natalie is a single mom and the Outreach and Missions Director at Life Bible Church in Harrisburg, Oregon.  Her heart for reaching the broken began when she was a little girl and went on outreaches with her dad.  The hopes and dreams of that little girl were shattered when she began being abused at a young age.  It caused her to derail and live a masked life.  Throughout her teen and young adult years, she endured addiction, an act of violence, and the loss of a baby.  God had a plan and met Natalie in her brokenness.  She regained her relationship and passion for the lost while she healed from the trauma and addiction that had crippled her during her time at Teen Challenge.

After Teen Challenge she built a successful business in cosmetology, finished her Bachelor’s degree from Oral Roberts University, and matured in her relationship with God.  She’s seen God restore so much in her life.  A few years back she waited on the Lord as He began to give her vision to cultivate an Outreach and Missions program at the church.  Today, she leads and ministers to single moms, co-leads the Single Mom’s Conference, runs the Recovery Worship night as well as many other outreaches at Life Bible.

Her heart for the broken has extended to the world as she has had the opportunity to minister all over the world.  Currently, she is preparing to go to Ethiopia in June with a team and will be ministering to women with HIV, children, and pastors.   Natalie’s story is a reflection of God’s unfailing, unwavering and reckless love of God.  The verse she has held onto that has given her hope is Isaiah 41:9-10, “I have called you back from the ends of the earth, saying, ‘You are my servant.’  For I have chosen you and will not throw you away.  Don’t be afraid, for I am with you.  Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God.  I will strengthen you and help you.  I will hold you up with my victorious right hand.”
