Episode 5: When shame doesn't have the final say with special guest Laurie Smucker

My guest today is Laurie Smucker. Laurie is a gifted author, Bible teacher, and missionary.  She has authored a book, entitled "Shattered by Shame, Crowned in Glory."  This book tells her life story and the testimony of walking out of the shame from her past.  From the time of Laurie's salvation, she has touched the lives of countless people, young and old, male and female, through the heartfelt testimony of her life.  Laurie has seen the Holy Spirit move individuals to weep as she sheds light on the darkness of shame by sharing the promises in God's Word.  

Laurie also serves on the board of Mid Valley Women of Christ as acting President and she serves as the prayer coordinator and works on the communication team.  This group of ladies reach around 3,000 women in the Mid-Valley yearly and help train up other women to lead Bible studies but also promote prayer and unity among churches.  

Through Laurie's life story and experiences, she understands how the negative effects of shame can keep us isolated and stuck in our past.  Over the last thirty years, she has been in hot pursuit of God to remove the layers of shame from her life and has seen Him replace it with His glory.  Laurie Smucker's heart is to see others set free from the bondage of shame.
