Born and raised in Saint Lucia, based in Essex, J Lucia is a versatile poet and afroswing/dancehall artist.
Creative & passionate from a young age, his musical
and lyrical influences derive from reggae, soca and most importantly, poetry.

J Lucia infuses his island roots and UK influences, and this culminates a unique, fresh sound demonstrated in his latest release, 'Loco' featuring Torielle, a fellow St Lucian singer-songwriter.

Loco is the lead single from J Lucia's debut EP 'My Turn.' This body of work boasts the distinctive sound crafted by Islands (a promient St Lucian producer) combined with
J Lucia's catchy hooks & Lyrical prowess.

J Lucia represented Southend-on-Sea in the first ever BAFTA nominated Rap Game UK, a B B C3 competition hosted by DJ Target, Krept and Konan, in 2019.
