In today's episode, host, Laura Carfang speaks with breast cancer survivor Brianna Rickertsen. Brianna was diagnosed with invasive ductal carcinoma in July 2020 at age 35. She underwent chemotherapy, surgery, radiation, and additional treatments due to a HER2 positive tumor. Brianna discovered she has a BRCA2 mutation, leading to further preventive measures, including ovary removal.

Pre-Diagnosis, Brianna was an active person, engaging in activities like yoga, cycling, hiking, and running.  During Treatment Brianna used the Peloton app daily for mental health and physical activity, adapting her routine based on her energy levels and treatment schedule. Post-Treatment, Brianna emphasizes the importance of movement in managing fatigue and overall well-being, advocating for small, consistent efforts.
