On today's episode we welcome Matteo Talotta.  Matteo Talotta is an Italian-Canadian who grew up just north of Toronto, Canada and from a young age had an interest in different cultures, countries and people. He received a BA in Political Science and Italian studies from the University of Toronto in 2017. He studied abroad in Florence, Italy in the fall of 2015, an experience that changed the course of his academic career and post-academic career aspirations. Throughout his undergraduate studies, Matteo worked for various cultural and language-related organizations, honing his intercultural competencies and client service skills. He moved to the United States immediately after to pursue an MA in Italian Language and Literature at the University of Pittsburgh, where he also worked as a course instructor and graduated in 2019. He shifted into the international education sphere and moved to Barcelona, Spain where he first worked for an international internship provider, before stepping into University Recruitment with Gartner, where he currently works.  He's the author of the article entitled, Learning to speak a new language? Just Use It!  Featured on the January 2022 Issue of Multilingual Magazine. He joins us today to share about xenoglossophobia (foreign language anxiety), language learning tips, and much more.
