This week, I'm talking with Chip Jarry, Co-Founder of Bay State Brewing Company, alongside his business partner, Shawn Rich. While combining their 45-years of beer and brewing knowledge, both Chip and Shawn opened Bay State Brewing Company in 2012. By 2019, they opened their Bay State Taproom in Worcester while celebrating the city's 150th anniversary.

In this episode, Chip shares the inspiration and process behind naming their craft beers. While advocating for female empowerment rather than female objectification, Chip's wife celebrates powerful women in history by incorporating historical figures into their beer campaigns. Chip also shares why retirement is the worst thing anyone can work towards, both mentally and physically.

Topics Discussed:

Navigating the opening of Bay State's Taproom amid COVID-19
Why community support is essential to local business
Learning how to adapt & pivot when starting (& growing) your business
