Apple is actually going to start its own ads platform, and they are going to start showing ads to Apple product users. So Apple obviously has become a huge powerhouse when it comes to gaining the attention of people. 

Now, the thing is that last year, Apple made a change in their policy they stopped sharing detailed information about consumers, with companies like Facebook and Snapchat, and other social media platforms. 

So what that did was it sort of limited the ability of these social media platforms to show contextual ads to the consumer. But now it is becoming clear why Apple did that because they actually wanted to cut off that data stream to the partners like Facebook and others as I mentioned, but on the flip side, they wanted to use that to their own advantage.

Now, it remains to be seen how the industry is going to react to this.
