You know you’re an entrepreneur at heart when…you’re a kid and try to sell your pencil shavings at school. Or when you fill up your time off with side gigs. Or when you can remember the exact reason why you failed that eighth-grade business assignment (not enough inventory) but are still able to describe how popular the product was.

The thing is, the reason I remember why I failed that assignment is because I learned a really important lesson about running a business that day – even a tiny one. And that’s how I see every business success, failure, and fumble: as the lessons that brought me to this exact moment.
