On this day I delete the FaceBook, the InstaGram, and the TikTok off my iPhone (...for now, again).

An awesome little oration on what my current jobs are and what the distractions are that are keeping me from them.  Also a nice little bit on the meaning of objective vs subjective; including examples.  And “my time for glory may come” but said in a different way.  Please enjoy!

What my job is and some of the distractions that are keeping me from it.   

The job for me today is to:

Publish everydayProgress my summit forward.

I've got no other jobs than that. 

But I have been adding other jobs to the list:

Driving traffic to my podcastCreating content on the social media platforms to support my publishing content.Or too grow my subscriber base.

I have been thinking my other jobs have been to refine my FB profile, my IG profile.  To convert my podcast content to other platforms (repurpose the content)…  in the vein of likes, looks subscribers, downloads, friends… 

Unfortunately none of that is in my current job description…  But I want it to be!  I had gotten distracted by shiny egoic objects.  The time to grow my following, to refine my profiles, to refine my social media strategies are coming.  But those are steps ahead.  

Fortuitously I have publishing down; now quality is subjective.   Defining objective v subjective measures.  One of the examples used to define, If I was compelled to get the new iPhone I would get the 12 Mini.  

Another thing that became abundantly clear is the reason they want us to publish consistently on a specific platform is because it has a long shelf life. The summit will drive traffic on a much bigger scale than the distracted time that I put onto the social media.  The current iteration - The “Your Life’s Calling summit”.  “How would you like us help you find your life calling so you can avoid staying in your soul sucking job?”  Subject to change lol! 

And there is still the job of holding space for my teen who is still in the house, which I love!
