Welcome to the birth with Kari podcast - this is the podcast all about birth! 

I’m your host, Kari!  I am a labor & delivery nurse, birth photographer, wife, mother of two very energetic kids and believer that every birth is beautiful in its own way. 

 
This podcast is full of birth stories, conversations with birth workers and information I've learned over the past 15 years in the birth world. 

Because we are all unique and have different preferences, there is not one perfect birth for everyone.  Home birth is the best choice for some people while others prefer an epidural at the hospital.  Some people make an informed decision to have a planned c-section for their first baby and others choose to free birth at home!  Through this podcast, we will explore and discuss all different aspects of birth to hear about different birthing experiences and learn from each other.

 Birth is full of magic and it's my passion to help you find ways to bring that sacred magic into your own birth - no matter how your baby comes.  Birth is unpredictable, but I know that your birth experience can be exceptional, even if things don't go according to plans. 

This podcast is a safe place where all are welcome.  You will hear me use the term “birthing person” rather than terms like “mama, female or pregnant woman.”  I use this inclusive language because not all people who give birth identify as female or a woman.  I strongly believe that everyone deserves to feel safe, respected, and loved through their pregnancy and birth.  Using inclusive language is one way I can create a safe environment through this podcast.  

Only you know the right choices for your body,  your baby and your birth.   I’m here to support & encourage you to share your needs and desires with your care team when the time comes to birth your baby because YOU are worthy of an exceptional birthing experience!
