Marian Bacol-Uba is a transformation coach, holistic health and wellness expert, and a certified pranayama and meditation teacher.
Empowering women to transform trauma into triumphs, holistically heal themselves from within and thrive in mind, body, and soul with clarity and confidence.
Why? Because I know what it’s like to feel frustrated, lost, hopeless, scared and alone. I know what it feels like to be depressed, suicidal, desolate and powerless. For most of my life, I lived a double life. I did all the things our culture and society tell us to do like go to school, get a degree, get a job, etc. I was actually pretty good at all that. I excelled in school and ended up with great marketing career. But I still felt unfulfilled, unhappy, always anxious and finding ways to forget my past and numb the pain. It wasn’t until I had an overdose and an out-of-body, near-death experience that I finally WOKE UP! I was given a second chance at life and I knew I had to make some radical changes. So, I moved from LA to Miami and began my spiritual journey.
Now, I am currently writing on my forthcoming book “Survivor to Thriver” that talks about my journey of overcoming childhood sexual abuse, substance/alcohol abuse and traditional Asian cultural norms to living a thriving life of health and wellness for the mind, body, and spirit. I hope that by sharing my story and spiritual journey, others can also find healing as well.
In addition to one-on-one coaching and online group programs, I speak and advocate for sexual abuse awareness, mental health, and entrepreneurship for women of color, especially Asian-Americans. I have appeared on numerous TV shows, online publications, top podcasts such as Elephant Journal, Thrive Global, Bustle, CBS Los Angeles, Channel LA-18, The Filipino Channel, The Tao of Self-Confidence Podcast, CEO Blog Nation, Miami Under 40 and more.
