Gerson Hernandez was born in Texas and raised in House District 105 where he worked hard to build strong ties within the community.

Hernandez is the proud son of naturalized El Salvadoran immigrants and understands firsthand the lengths parents will go to give their family a greater opportunity to live the American dream.  Even though his childhood was filled with financial hardships and other obstacles, Hernandez maintained a strong faith, a positive attitude and the will to persevere.

Hernandez is the Founder and Director of Agape Connect, an Irving based non-profit organization with the main priority of providing resources to those in need. Since he started in 2016, he has helped to feed thousands of people and has given away 3500 backpacks filled with school supplies to students in our schools.  Those that know him know that he is passionate about seeing the lives of people around him improved.
