#004: Black Girls Vote representative Shirmel Wiggs shares how her organization inspires women of color to use the political process to improve their lives.

In this episode, I had a thoughtful conversation with entrepreneur and businesswoman Shirmel Wiggs. We discussed her background, her upbringing, and her educational pursuits. We then discussed how her finance background had put her in a position to help families to improve their finances.

That discussion was followed up with a conversation about the organization she was representing--Black Girls Vote. This nonpartisan, nonprofit organization encourages Black girls and women to be actively involved in the political process.

Quote –We actually have the biggest voting block right now and we…as black women, we create presidents – Shirmel Wiggs
