Born and bred in the Frankford neighborhood, State Representative Jason T Dawkins is an expert on recreation-based development and community engagement. His most recent experience as senior legislative aide to Philadelphia City Councilwoman Maria Quiñones Sánchez led to the creation of impactful and transformative policy initiatives, including legislation to create a city land bank to streamline the sale and productive use of roughly 40,000 vacant properties in Philadelphia.

His legislative priorities include ensuring that all children have access to the best educational opportunities; public safety, especially for children; fighting poverty; job creation; improving transportation infrastructure; and properly funding mass transit.

Jason is active on several boards and executive committees, including the Northeast Neighborhood Advisory Committee, the Frankford Parks Friends Group, Northeast EPIC Stakeholders Group, the Boys & Girls United Council, the Frankford Chargers Advisory Council and Mastery-Smedley Charter School Turnaround team.Jason is currently studying international business through a dual admission program with Community College of Philadelphia and Temple University.
