It's time for another mini episode as part of the President's Dream Colloquium, this time with Dr. Steven Spencer, Psychology Professor and Robert K. and Dale J. Weary Chair in Social Psychology at The Ohio State University. Danniele chats with Dr. Spencer about the exciting work he and others at the Engendering Success in STEM Consortium are undertaking to create environments in which women and girls can reach their true, actual potential in STEM.

Dr. Spencer is the Robert K. and Dale J. Weary Chair in Social Psychology at The Ohio State University. Dr. Spencer does research on motivation and the self, particularly on how these factors affect stereotyping and prejudice. In examining motivation and the self, he also examines how implicit processes that are outside of people’s awareness affect people’s thoughts, feelings, and behaviors.
