How do you work out whether something is good for you, or not?

God’s made us with some amazing intelligence, and yet we can be “dumb as a bucket of shrimp” when we allow what people tell us, to over rule what God has already told us.

Of course we should seek medical advice about some things, but it should never over rule our ability to, also, pray and ask God in faith - for a miracle.

I’ve prayed for healing that I’ve either seen happen for others, or have received myself. And I’ve also seen prayers not answered.

Right now I’m not able to fast from food as my current medication advises against that – so I don’t fast from food. Ignore instructions and you’ll find yourself in a mess!

Today’s thought is all around honey – I heard someone say we shouldn’t eat honey as it has sugar, and is therefore really unhealthy for us to eat. However, God states that it is good for us to eat honey.

So, how do we work out who is right?

Well, really simply, God is always right! If He said it, we can trust it.

However, unless He states it emphatically we need to apply a little wisdom to our question, and perhaps phone a friend, or maybe go see a doctor.

Seeing a doctor doesn’t make you have less faith, any more than praying in faith for a healing makes you have more faith. Trust God because He is God! But don’t lean on your own understanding either and blindly walk where nobody else is…

Just a thought…
