On Monday, October 30th, Kristen will be participating in NRG's charity flag football game, along with a number of other Philadelphia media personalities. NRG is an electricity supply company based here in Philadelphia, and the official energy partner of the Philadelphia Eagles. Listen as Kristen speaks with Dave Schrader, Public Relations Manager for NRG about what to expect from this year's (5th annual) game. Kristen will be playing for Red Paw Emergency Relief Team, who will receive $1,000. NRG will be donating $30,000 total to a number of different charities and non-profits. Follow along on Monday at #NRGCharityGame.
Then Kristen catches up with Mary Radzinski, a friend who is also a Philadelphia based stand-up, writer, and comedian. On Wednesday, November 15th from 8-10PM, Mary will be recording her first comedy album at Helium Comedy Club. Buy tickets HERE. Mary has frequently opened for comics including: Dave Attell, Jim Norton, and Sarah Colonna, along with many other national acts. She opened for Jim Norton's "Contextually Inadequate" comedy special taping at the Somerville Theater, as well as Rosie O'Donnell's most recent HBO comedy special at Levity Live. She's been a repeat finalist in Helium Comedy Club's "Philly's Phunniest" Contest and was named Philadelphia Magazine's Best Comedian 2014.
The Philadelphia Flyers have a new in arena host (they found her on YouTube!), and Matt and Kristen had the opportunity to chat with her on the morning show this week. Philadelphia: meet Andrea Helfrich - a Bucks County native who has traveled the world and returned to the city she loves to host contests, play games, post on Facebook, tweet, snap, insta, and pump up Flyers fans all season long. Buy your Flyers tickets and find more from Andrea HERE.
Finally, Kristen speaks with Allison Hough, Executive Director of Philanthropy at the Pennsylvania SPCA about the PSPCA's signature event, Bark & Whine, which is slated for Saturday, November 4, 2017 6:30-10:30PM at Urban Outfitters, Inc. in the Navy Yard. This year will mark a very special time in the history of the PSPCA as they celebrate 150 years of protecting animals in Pennsylvania,  and this year’s event will include cocktails, dinner and dancing while honoring fellow animal advocates Patty & Larry Bowa, Pepper Hamilton LLP, and Governor Ed Rendell.
