Sarah DeLaurentis, the Director of Development and Communications at Action Wellness returns to BEN Around Philly to talk about this year’s 29th Annual 'Dining Out For Life' on Thursday, April 18th at over 150 participating restaurants and businesses in the area. Action Wellness is one of Pennsylvania’s largest AIDS service organizations, committed to helping people living with HIV and AIDS and other chronic illnesses. This is the organization’s biggest fundraiser, Philadelphia’s largest dining fundraiser, and all that they ask…. is that you eat out on Thursday, April 18th! When you eat out at a participating restaurant on Thursday, April 18th - 33% of the proceeds goes to help three local HIV/AIDS service organizations: Action Wellness, AIDS Delaware, and Camden Area Health Education Center, Inc. The event collectively raises over $4 million every year for HIV/AIDS service organizations in over 60 states in the US and Canada. Recently featured in a Press Spotlight at the Philadelphia Public Library, the Philadelphia Secret Admirer is a decade old publication in Philadelphia that started as a DIY pamphlet just a few pages long. Over the years (and especially this past year), the publication has evolved into a beautiful full-length magazine, with gorgeous artwork and comics, creative writing by numerous contributors, and yet it somehow still manages to keep the same charm of the original ‘no frills’ version.
