There has been a lot of talk of how Canada is currently in a ‘climate emergency’. At the same time, the federal government’s purchase of the Trans Mountain Pipeline means that the expansion project will begin very soon. How does the construction of this pipeline impact the current state of our climate emergency, and what does this say about our governments’ priorities? Kai Nagata is the Communications Director for Dogwood BC. The goal of the organization is to build a grassroots base of engaged citizens ready to take action outside of the existing political party system. You can learn more about Dogwood BC at https://dogwoodbc.ca.
