Today, I am deeply humbled and honored to have a very special guest join me on the show! EAST FOREST has been the leader of underground ‘sound healing’ ceremonies around the world since 2008 and, most recently, collaborated with Ram Dass on an incredible 4-part project. In this incredibly insightful and inspiring episode, East Forest and I explore:

How when we follow our gifts, it becomes an act of service for others as well as for ourselvesThe value of creativity and expressing ourselves through creative acts, whatever they may beHis journey from the fame, shame, money game and a spiritual shift that took him on a new path of optimization and risk takingOur experience of being awake and alive as a yearning to be reconnected to God or Source (and the fear that might be keeping us from this)How we’re all on a journey with no destination, and there is no wrong wayPsychedelics, distractions, and desire (along wit the mystery and paradoxes of being alive)The importance of taking deep breaths, loving everybody, and telling the truthWhat beliefs are, what truth is, and how to tell the truth The power of having tools and a soundtrack to support our journey to go even deeper (and our attachment to them)The importance of making the personal choice whether to stay asleep or be awakeAnd so much more that points us back to the truth!

As a teacher, using music as a tool, East Forest has trail-blazed a path in the wellness movement building bridges between the digital and natural worlds. As a leader in the burgeoning field of “organic tech,” he regularly cross pollinates his work to bring together diverse fields to explore the intersection between technology, nature and the human experience — with a brain-body approach aimed towards secular yet deeply spiritual personal development; a methodology grounded as much in science as in ritual and ceremony. His collaborations include Google, Esalen Institute, Consciousness Hacking, and Science And Nonduality (SAND) among others, in addition to his weekly podcast series that offers discussions with thought leaders alongside musically guided original meditations. With more than a dozen albums already making a positive impact in the world, this year, East Forest is dropping two more major projects — “Ram Dass” (4-parts) + “Music For Mushrooms: A Soundtrack For The Psychedelic Practitioner."
