YOU ARE NOT ALONE…
Today’s episode is being brought to you by our magnanimous sponsor; Stump Town Kilts.  I partnered up with StumpTown Kilts because I believe in their product, I wear their product, and I stand behind the craftsmanship of their product and the integrity of their company.  If I didn’t, they would not be a sponsor for Being A Better Man.
Recently we had a contest.  Stump Town kilts donated a kilt to be given away to the winner.  And the winner, was Teri Roe, a female listener of the program.  I just found out that she went with the camouflage option.  They come in a variety of colors, and i’m telling you the style and craftsmanship of these kilts cannot be beat.
Now don’t feel bad because you didn’t get in on the contest.  You can still get your very own StumpTown kilt at a substantial discount by going to their website;  http://stumptownkilts.com (stumptownkilts.com)  and when you are checking out enter the code;  betterman, all lower case, all one word, and you will receive 10% off your entire purchase.  Don’t wait, do it today because premium kilt weather is just around the corner my friends.

Here we are again, its Friday and the weekend is upon us.  I trust that you have all been having success, being a better man each day.  I trust you have been diligent finding that opportunity in your life each day to be a better man than you were the day before.  I applaud your efforts!  You really should give yourself a pat on the back because its a pretty big deal.
However, if you are having a hard time, if you are struggling with finding ways to be a better man, I want to invite you to contact me.  Just write me a letter and let me know what you are struggling with.
It can be very tough at times, for all of us.  Because we all have developed habits over the course of our lives that are not the best, lets face it.  A bad habit could be the kind of people you hang out with, the places you go, how you spend your free time, what your diet looks like, or any number of things.  It is these habits that are standing in the way of your individual improvement as a man.
To break that cycle requires a great deal of personal will, strength of character, and tremendous focus.  You know I always say that the things we focus on expand right?  Well the focus required to replace a bad habit with a good one is off the charts.  Its the kind of focus that common men don’t have the strength for, it’s hard, and it can be uncomfortable.  It’s a good thing for us that we are not common men…we my friends, you and I, are better men.
But, even the best of men will slip at times, or go through a tough patch.  We are human beings and thats just part of life.  Its at times like these that it really helps to have a mentor.  Someone to hold you accountable, someone that will be straight with you when you need it.  A person you can rely on to help you alter your perspective when you need to.
I’ve been thinking about this a lot lately.  I know everybody has friends, but you may not have friends that are concerned with being a better man every day.  What if you did?  What if you had a friend that was in the same boat as you, dedicated to perpetual improvement in every area of their life?  Your conversations with this person might be more productive than 20 conversations with people that don’t share this mentality.
So I’m having this idea of starting a program that will hook you up with another guy.  Kind of a double mentorship.  This podcast has been downloaded over 220,000 times, so there are plenty of guys out there listening that have the same objective as you.  What if you could team up with a guy and maybe he’s in a whole other country, but it doesn’t matter…once a week or so you call each other or email back and forth and just talk about your lives, whats hard, whats easy, brag about your victories a little too, with...

At those times when it gets hard, when life is throwing you curveballs, it can really help to have another man that understands.
So thats the idea I’m having, but I’m not going to go through the effort of setting it all up if nobody wants to do it.  I need to see some interest.  So if this is something you would take advantage of, write me an email at [email protected] and let me know.  If enough guys write and tell me…then I will develop a method that you can partner up with somebody, or maybe even more than one person.  So let me know.
Now I have a little announcement to make.  As you may know I have been working of getting a book published.  A compilation of the Wednesday stories that I have told on this podcast.  I’m really excited about this project and its getting very close to completion.  The announcement I want to make to you, is what the title is.  Only myself and the launch team I have compiled know the title, and now you will too.
This project is important to me because besides being entertaining, every one of these stories has a lesson attached to it that has to do with being a better man. That is the kind of thing that can have an impact on people.  Everybody knows somebody that could use these kind of stories…so start thinking right now who you would like to get a book for, besides yourself.  Help me spread it around.  I will also ask all of you to go onto Amazon and write a review for the book once I get it launched, that will help make it more available to more people.
Ok…the Title of the book is:  FORGING A MAN, A collection of true tales, and the lessons wrought from them.
I called it that because everything that happens to us, good or bad, is like the blow of a hammer on a piece of hot steel…shaping it into what it will become.  The stories in the book were all hammer blows in my life, so thats how I came up with the title.
So I would love to know what you all think of that, you can tell me on Facebook, Twitter, or RIGHT HERE ON THE WEBSITE.
Thats about it for today guys, but remember if you are interested in better man buddy program (for lack of a better term since I have not named it yet) I talked about you have to let me know.  Let me know what you think of the book title as well.  Check out my Patreon page if you would like to support this show by becoming a patron.
Now head out into the world and look for opportunities to be a better man every where you go.  You don’t have to be amazing…you just need to be better than you were yesterday, and then keep doing that every single day.  Don’t forget to look in the mirror too, take a look at yourself and be honest about the things that actually need improving, and then start improving them, a little bit each day is all it takes.  That is how, we become a better man today, than we were yesterday.
