About Today’s Guest

Chris Spencer – Director of Operations, Oracle Corporation, is a passionate servant leader focused on bringing people together to help develop people solutions that keep things moving. With 30 years of experience building and leading teams, Chris is driven to think critically about process efficiencies and how what we do affects the way we should be doing it. Chris’ current role is helping lead the global onboarding effort within Oracle. He also leads the planning team for a campus hiring program for the US-based sales organizations. His passion lies, however, in co-leading the Oracle veteran employee resource group, MAVEN – Military Affiliated Veteran Employee Network, where he can wrap his skills, day job, and purpose into one intended outcome.

Chris joined Oracle in 1996 after separating from active duty with the US Army. Starting as a contractor within the marketing organization, he established relationships across many lines of business to begin creating his network and eventually landed a permanent role supporting sales. This was his early lesson of how important relationships are for success. This offered Chris the opportunity to learn and grow from within and establish his own career path with the support of others.

Outside of being actively involved in his family’s lives, Chris’ center of attention in his current life stage is continuing to deliver value within the veteran affiliated community.
