Real Talk Tuesdays are when I tell some thing about my life, a story about raising my children, all 6 of them...
The craziness of such a large family, the things they did that I am amazed they survived...
And some truths about my life that I very seldom discuss...
Out of fear of being judged, out of embarrassment, out of pain or regret or denial...
And that is exactly why I have to tell the stories from my past that have shaped me into who I am...
The good, the bad and the truly horrific.
Today I talk about eating disorders.
I was anorexic for 3 years. I nearly died from a bleeding ulcer at age 17 because of it.
I weight 98 pounds and still thought I was fat, ugly and unlovable... because the person who I loved ,and who claimed to love me, told me all those things.
I learned what love was, and more importantly, what love was not.
The hard way.
But, that is a story for another day...
