(I Can't Really Say Why) I Like To See You Cry

October 08, 2018 06:00 - 1.79 MB

The title and melody line of this song came from Jason's archives. Back in the 90s, while counting off to record an entirely different song, he made up and sang this line. Years later Randy and Jason heard it, thought it was a good start, and developed it into this more complete song.

The Love Notary

August 13, 2018 06:00 - 3.38 MB

Featuring the great Qadree Holmes on vocals, this song goes out to all Notary Publics everywhere. This song came about when Jason was asked to notarize a few immigration documents for two recently married friends of his - one of whom was applying for U.S. citizenship. When they asked Jason whether he could notarize their signatures "to prove it wasn't a sham marriage," he informed them they were in luck - he wasn't only a Notary, he was the "Love Notary." They laughed a bit at his commen...

On Her Blog

July 30, 2018 06:00 - 3.51 MB

Going Commando

July 16, 2018 06:00 - 2.34 MB

To his shame, about a month before this song was written in early 2006, Randy had no idea what the term Going Commando meant. The only way for him to repay his karmic debt was to write a song about it. Tom's inspired fingerpicking weaved it into a delicate threnody about freedom from wearing underwear.

Kim Bailed

June 18, 2018 06:00 - 3.07 MB

Yet another of those songs that has it's genesis in something said rather off-handedly only to be followed by the phrase, "Hey, that would make a great song!" After picking up Tom Roper and Tom Beeyachski to head to the studio to record, Jason asked Tom B. if his wife Kim was meeting up with them later. Tom replied, "No, Kim bailed." And later that day the three of them wrote this song.

No Night Stand (I'm Not Your Type I'm Not Inflatable)

The Bong Song

April 02, 2018 06:00 - 3.22 MB

This is the theme to Stuck On 2 - a webshow that follows the exploits of those who don't have an XBOX 360 or Halo 3. They're, uh, stuck on Halo 2. And, yes, it's ska. Believe it or not, our first. For 11 years we've been accused of being a ska band because (a) we have a horn section, and (b) most people don't know what ska is. Well, this is as close to ska as we get.
