EP015 Discussing infertility as a couple - Interview with Jim and Kate Hallinan during #NIAW

Welcome to the first episode of the National Infertility Awareness Week series on Be Unstoppable Radio. #NIAW

This series of episodes represents the start of National infertility awareness week, which is actually April 18th - April 24th. Now, if you’re wondering why this is something I’m bringing awareness to on my personal platforms it's because this is a very big and real part of our life right now and has been for the past 3 years. I realized that as we were experiencing this obstacle that it’s not something that many people openly discuss. It’s a journey that can make you feel hopeless, isolated, and oftentimes confused.

Actually, the guests that I interview throughout the week are people that are in my circle that I never knew struggled with infertility until it just so happened to come up in conversation. So, I decided to do this series to make an effort to change the tough conversation around infertility.

I realize that this topic doesn’t resonate with everyone, but if you know someone that is experiencing infertility or has felt alone and misunderstood throughout their own journey, please share it with them! This also may be a good opportunity for you to learn and feel more comfortable talking to someone about the path they're on.

The guests this week all bring a different perspective on infertility. I have Brad Jensen to bring insight from the male side, Chyrelle Miller for the perspective from the female, and Jim and Kate Hallinan to discuss infertility as a couple.
