Legend and Amanda Tarver are the founders of 300 Letters, an organization focused on creating and maintaining the bond between recently released parents from incarceration and their children. The organization aims to provide support and resources for families as they recover and work to create stability after incarceration.

Amanda and Legend were incarcerated together during the most challenging time in their lives. Leaving behind their oldest son Dorian and soon thereafter learning that a new baby was on the way, just one month into Amanda’s incarceration. A family forcefully split and getting larger fueled this young couple to ensure that they stick together through the letters that they wrote.

The aftermath of their experience has inspired a passion driven mission in them both to help support families who are working through a similarly challenging circumstance. This interview is incredibly eye opening, informative, emotionally raw and inspiring. Legend and Amanda share with us their story and their mission to make an impact.
