Get ready for some wins.

Lesley Logan 0:05

Welcome to the Be It Till You See It podcast where we talk about taking messy action, knowing that perfect is boring. I'm Lesley Logan, Pilates instructor and fitness business coach. I've trained thousands of people around the world and the number one thing I see stopping people from achieving anything is self-doubt. My friends, action brings clarity and it's the antidote to fear. Each week, my guest will bring bold, executable, intrinsic and targeted steps that you can use to put yourself first and Be It Till You See It. It's a practice, not a perfect. Let's get started.

Lesley Logan 0:47

Hey, Be It babe, welcome back to another Friday, our last Friday of the year. What is that? I mean that, well, I'll tell you, that's my win. We made it. But let me, in case you're new, hi, I'm Lesley Logan. Welcome to the Be It Till You See It podcast. We have interviews on Tuesday, recaps on Thursday, and FYF a.k.a. a short dose of inspiration to kick off your weekend. Because we all need something to look forward to on a Friday other than the weekend, which is like celebrating your wins. So first of all, I do celebrate one of your wins, I then share you one of mine. And the whole goal is so that you can see that like anything can be a win and you have more wins in your life than you think. So the first one. So today's win of yours is from Lauren Barker, she is in my eLevate round three. And this one she put in before Friday. So I know it's not Friday. But man, if God isn't making up for the past few months this week, I mentioned to our community education center that I'd love to get nine to 13-year-olds moving with Pilates and they called me the same day, I sat with the directors for about an hour explaining how this could be a game changer for kids. And they hired me as a contractor on the spot. They want me to teach a youth and adult class in the spring and they want to grow the program. I was worried about getting the right mats for them as resources. They need three or four-inch or thicker. So last night, I wrote a couple of companies to see if I could get them donated. I tagged a couple of companies a lot and they wrote me today saying they're going to donate mat for mini circles for the kids. Oh my God, that's amazing. She tagged Balanced Body and they're going to donate mats in mini circles for kids. That's amazing. We love them. BB also wants to do an article on me and promote the project with the kids. Literally in the course of two days I have gotten a job, gotten an outfit, and have free advertising from a major company. So excited. If you have any suggestions for class form email me as I'm sure I could use as much wisdom as I can get.

Lesley Logan 2:37

Well, first of all, Lauren, wait to tell people what your big dreams were. And then reach out to options that could outfit that dream. And now you've got plenty of time for it all to happen and you know what you're highlighted for, which is so great. It's gonna inspire so many others to do said thing. And side note, we actually do have a course on Profitable Pilates on how to teach children and like how to program it. So I highly recommend that because it's by Amy Rost. And she actually teaches a lot of kids, so weekly classes. So I think this is really exciting. And I'm so grateful that we get to celebrate this win with you. Balanced Body has sponsored our winter tour and they love to do a thing that really helps more bodies do Pilates. So I think this is really cool.

Lesley Logan 3:18

Okay, my win. You know, I at the beginning of this year I interviewed, will interview with Alan Stein Jr. and he had said like, every single day he ends the day asking himself if he's like 1% better today than he was the day before. Right? And it's really stuck with me. Also, because it's like, it's so easy as a recovering perfectionist and overachiever to like, just you know, if you didn't get everything done, then did you do anything at all I mean, did you really, because you could do everything. Right? So what I'm proud of is not only did we make it to the end of the year, but the one major personal goal that we had to do happened. And I shared that with you on a past win but like, you know, three years in the making to make that goal when which is like getting our house, which is so it was a team effort, y'all. So we had that. And then there was other things that we got out of this year. And you know what, here's where I'll be really honest, not a single one of them hit the exact goal that I wanted, not one, and that they're all a win. And I to me, that's a win for me being able to see every single thing happen and whether or not it did hit the arbitrary goal I had doesn't mean it wasn't successful. It doesn't mean I'm not so proud of myself and my team for getting us there and getting what we got. And I say that because it can be so easy. I didn't do that. I didn't do that. I didn't do this. I didn't do that. And there's a lot of shit you won't do. That doesn't mean you didn't do a lot. That doesn't mean you're not awesome and doesn't mean you're not 1% better today than you were yesterday.

Lesley Logan 0:47

So my win is that we made it. We made it and we continue to grow and we continue to learn, we continue to make some mistakes and we continue to learn from those mistakes and we continue to make an impact on more and more people. And that's exactly that's all I want is to have more bodies doing Pilates. So thank you so much for being part of that. Before I let you go, I will leave you with this. Because you like these affirmations I've heard, so here is the one for this week. And I think it's a really good week to think about it. I am peaceful and whole. I know, it's the end of the year, I am peaceful and whole. Say it out loud with me. I am peaceful and whole. I am peaceful and whole. Yes, you are peaceful and yes, you are whole. Thank you all so much. And until next time, Be It Till You See It.
