What's up to my enchanting elephant seals and ergonomic echidnas! What are echidnas, you ask? Click here.

Thank you for listening and supporting the BNP yall! I'm sending oodles of soft sandy love from a warm and windy Saturday in the desert. My Meowzers and I are cold chillin on the Persian rug in my back greenhouse (that yes, does really tie the room together).

So. Here we are. Just a few days after the polls officially closed, and after some sketchy dark money wrangling, we finally know the victor of the hotly contested coroner's race in Joliet, IL, where acting Will County Coroner Laurie Summers held off a feisty challenge from insurgent Republican candidate James "Jim" Piacentini in her bid to succeed Patrick O'Neil as the next coroner of Will County. She did it! Well done little piggies, you can proceed to sip Riesling and ignore all politics for the next 4 years. Laurie's got you. (Hopefully not literally, because that would mean that you are dead. You know what I mean tho.)

Now that Summers is safely ensconced  and we can breathe easy knowing dead folks will be properly processed in Will county, we can all move on with our lives and focus on more important things, like opening up a synthetic designer psychedelic alkaloid boutique emporium lab in Washington D.C., now that psychedelics are decriminalized there. Give some acid to Mitch McConnell, stat. He needs it. And throw in some molly. Candy flip that creep show right onto his tortoise ass.

Anyhoo. This episode features an admittedly kinda windy chat with friend of the show Pete Koeneman. We discuss the recent electoral wins for drug policy in the U.S., and what it means moving forward. We also pontificate on the true meaning of utopia, and Pete catches me up on the local happenings on his home base of Maui. Coming soon will be the second part of this chat where we dig into some hard won nitty gritty notions of how to sustain sobriety from destructive substances in one's life.

I also pepper in some original poems this episode and a couple passages from a couple of my favorite thought-provoking books.

Bestow 5 stars upon me friends, and support the BNP! Help me stay on the air! For as little as $1/month, you can become a patron at www.patreon.com/noetics
