Why your stuff sucks. Are you shooting for greatness, or just good enough?

Are you frustrated because your stuff isn’t popping off. Nobody is engaging with the masterpieces that you’re creating out of your genius skull. Are you creating stuff that is different or are you just trying meet the bench mark?

Rik Rubin quoted in his latest book: "Rules direct us to average behaviors. If we’re aiming to create works that are exceptional, most rules don’t apply. Average is nothing to aspire to. "

Ease is a greater threat to progress than hardship.  When you’re going through a struggle, it’s going to propel you to want to go to a better place, faster.
