The history of rabbits in Australia goes back as far as the first attempts to colonize the continent. It's understandable why the settlers would have brought the animals along; they multiply quickly and they're pretty good eating. Unfortunately the downside is that they multiply quickly and they're pretty good AT eating. Australia has been battling the rabbit scourge for nearly 150 years. This is the story of that battle.
