I stand by my year-old reaction.

Therefore, it was quite natural for us to tackle this as a subject on the show. Specifically whether we could come up with any adventure games that hold great potential, but are simultaneously being dragged down by faulty and/or misapplied technology. And just what is it that makes it so frustrating to come across a game like the example Troels brought up this week: the Harlan Ellison-designed “I Have No Savegame And It Just Crashed”?

What the player thought.

This week, we were all slightly more in the Zone, and so we churned out a 50-minute discussion on the subject, which you can listen to on this very site, or on YouTube. Troels and I also sat around for an additional 20 minutes to talk about more examples of Murphy’s Law making its way into adventure games.

Yes, Gareth sadly had to skeedaddle after the main episode, but don’t worry; I’m trying to convince him that spending too much time on your own hobbies can’t possibly impact your relationship status negatively.

Anyway, check out the episode below, feel free to subscribe, and please do send an email to [email protected] in case you think we missed anything. See you all next week.
