Welcome! It is August, which is a time of mourning for all who work in education. But for Bachedemia, August is hot and things are heating up on the season. But before we jump into this week’s episode..Question: If you were a food, what type of food would you be?Two minute recap: They foreshadow troubles with Hayden. He claims Gabby called herself rough around the edges so it  was fair game for him to say the same. Idiot!  They learn they are going to Paris and I guess staying on a cruise ship once they arrive. At first I was like,  omg are they trying to save money and making them go   overseas  on a boat.  Woof. Once  they arrive they get one on ones: Jason/
Gabby and Tino/Rachel. They make crepes and try on barets and Americans are once again assholes for how we stereotype other countries. Dates seem to be going along well enough, they bring Gabby and Rachel together to swoon and then move to the serious evening portion of the dates. Tino and Rachel discuss career and family goals. It is clear Rachel is ready to marry Tino. I think they are both boring. Gabby and Jason connect over difficult childhoods and their appreciation for therapy. We will get to this later. Gabby seems pretty into Jason. Next, they move onto the  group date, which is technically for Gabby i think but they made it all about Rachel. We get a bachelor favorite: let’s have contestants fight for love. More on that later.  Gabby give spencer  the  rrose. Snooze fest. Rachel feels ignored by her guys and comes unraveled. Meanwhile, Logan is losing it and realizes he’s really there for Gabby– which he has to know isn’t going to end well. But I guess after this episode we will need a new villain. Rachel tells the guys to step it up. Its awkward. So producers smoooth things out by having Rachel smell their armpits on the group date the next day. Good lord. Tyler gets the rose and they connect over poetry. Bill’s favoorite. The cocktail party is all about Logan and Hayden. Hayden loves his dog rambo and it feels like he’s trying to guilt Rachel into keeping him because he sacrificed a lot to be here. He’s like a real loser. She sends him home. Logan accepts a rose. He’s in a heck of a position. So let’s talk about this disaster. Concept 1: “Fighting for love” What’s with violent metaphors and romance? Rachel and Tino are both excited and scared by how fast things are moving. Gabby and Jason connect over difficult childhoods and their appreciation for good therapy. They seriously geek out about “Inner child work.” This was a great boost for Bill’s counseling program! Go UNI counseling. (Gabby’s mom talks back. Unless you are saving this for the wildcard). Concept 2: “They weren’t paying attention to me!” Are Gabby and Rachel particularly fragile or is something else going on this season?Concept 3: Puppy Love, Hayden. How can a person be such an asshole but love his dog so much?Host 2 wildcard topic: Gabby’s mom talks back.
