Akua Hinds was born and raised in the Greater Toronto Area.  Her parents hailed from Barbados, the West Indies.

Akua graduated twice from Humber College with a Business Marketing diploma and a Journalism diploma, and she also holds level 10 Voice and level 10 Piano certificates from The Royal Conservatory of Music.

Akua enjoys working as a business marketing owner, journalist, and performing artist.  Akua owns 3 dating websites and a relationship products business, and she also creates media content, performs, and teaches.
