Coach Jimmy’s Career

[4:05]

I've been helping people build businesses by harnessing the power of their story for 13 years in the health and fitness industry. In my 20 years of experience as a professional actor Is just helping professional storyteller, storyteller, and business builder man,

Why should anybody listen to you?

[6:05]

Because I have made a lot of mistakes in my career and if I can do anything, it’s to eliminate people's pain points. In life, we either get to be an example or a warning and I've had my fair share of being both and so what I want to do is give that pivot point and shrink it for people to get to success even quicker.

Jimmy’s Brag

[8:33]

What I get to do and help people master a story and their message, I get to impact more lives that way. If I get the opportunity to do workshops with people and find out what their message is and how they want to impact the world or if I get to be a little piece of helping them craft that story to have that impact, that's legacy and that's what I'm most proud of.

Receiving response

[11:54]

That opportunity to tell a story and to get an emotional response from an audience was something that just always appealed to me.

Doubting himself

[14:11]

Sometimes when like it's revealed to us, we know what we're supposed to do but we immediately have a list of all the reasons why it'll never happen. My physical limitations were always the thing keeping me from just stepping into my greatness or that I had nothing within me that I'd been given a gift to impact other people because what I saw on the exterior did not look like success.

Making his own stage

[18:26]

I stopped waiting for somebody else to tell me I'm good enough to be on their stage and started making my own stages.

[19:01]

And for me, that was the shift. And it was right about that time that I started building my brand and my business online. I'm gonna go all-in on me and I started investing in my own education.

The Baby steps

[20:25]

You can add value if you tell your story and show people the baby steps because there's something more attainable. To me, it's like how can I “How can I help you make those first couple steps?” because sometimes that's the hardest.

You are You

[21:34]

Nobody executes exactly the way I do. There's other motivational people in your space too, but nobody's going to deliver. Your stories are like your thumbprint, nobody has yours and that's why you can add value, regardless of who else is in your space. It eliminates competition because you're you.

Failing before Winning

[23:04]

You have to be willing to suck at something. You have to just be awkward and awful. You got to go through that part. When I coach people and I get done with my trainings, I always tell people that the first person to go screw this up is the one that's going to win, because that means you put it into the world. You're not waiting for it to be perfect, you go mess it up.

Sharing Personal Stories

[24:55]

If we can identify what that personal story is that ties to your products and services, that is the fastest way to separate yourself in a very noisy marketplace, and telling a personal story is the fastest way to create know, like, and trust with your audience.

[25:56]

I believe everyone has a seven-figure story if it's well crafted. And that's what I try to use my experiences to help them craft that.

Key Quotes

[8:05-8:10] “Instead of having an excuse, man, shut up and listen, start learning, start activating some things.”

[11:10-11:13] “It's not just the resume, It's the things you've struggled with as well.”

[19:38-19:41] “You should not start telling people how to run the race until you've crossed the finish line.
