There are two broad categories for ad spots in podcasting: baked-in and dynamic. Baked-in advertising refers to adverts that are part of the original audio, and are either included in the conversation or are just part of the audio file. Dynamic ad insertion refers to ads that are added in during editing and the benefit of this lies in the flexibility it affords podcasters. If your contract is up with certain advertisers, you can simply replace their ad with a new one without having to record anything again. Tune in to hear more!
