goodbye/fun facts....national sandwich day...The sandwich is believed to be the namesake of John Montagu, the 4th Earl of Sandwich, following the claim that he invented the first ever sandwich.  In the United States alone, we have some pretty delicious sandwich inventions: the blt, the club, the dagwood, the french dip, the pb&j, the grilled cheese...all thanks to a man who needed one hand free while sat for long hours at a gambling table in the 1700's!
