goodbye/fun facts....today is "diet coke day" produced and distributed by The Coca-Cola Company. It contains artificial sweeteners instead of sugar. Unveiled on this date in Germany 1982,and introduced in the United States on August 9th... it was the first new brand since 1886 to use the Coca-Cola trademark. The product quickly overtook the company's existing diet cola, Tab. Then in it was introduced in the UK in 1983. In 1986 they introduced diet cherry coke and since then there have been no less than 16 other flavor choices including mango, strawberry, ginger lemon, and black cherry vanilla
