For women, the term has been used more frequently to excuse our behavior, whether we're acting clingy, distant, provocative, or just plain crazy. But truth is, a lot of us women and men act according to the way out parental figures treated us growing up. Now that we're adults, we get to be in charge. And that includes being in charge of our traumas and issues that circle around our mothers and father. Remember, they're trying to figure this shit out too.
