Adult Christmas List!

Hey everyone!! It’s finally Thursday! Which means JQ & DaliConPique are back at it again with another great episode of Are We Adulting Yet!! If you’re a returning listener, you know the routine, make yourselves right at home, we’re happy to have you back. Are you guys ready for Christmas? With the holidays approaching, we wanted to talk this week about the different things we want others to give us as adults. Of course there are always some materialistic things we wouldn’t mind receiving. Presents are always great no matter what age. And we definitely voice our materialisric wants. For example, we’ll always be good with wine! But let’s be real, as we get older we do start to view the holidays in a different way. It starts to become more about the memories you create and the traditions pass along and less about the gifts you get and give. And when you think about it, it kind of has been more about the memories all along. Looking back, we remember the feeling of the holidays more than anything else. Getting older can be great simply because of the different things you come to realize and be grateful for. 

Another thing we come to realize as adults is that we need to start making the hard decisions in life, nobody can make them for us. DaliConPique is currently realizing that judging by her sticky situation. She has a big decision to make and no one can make it for her but herself. Even though all she wants is for Santa to tell her what to do!

We want to give you guys a good christmas tip too to help you guys be great! Our adulting 101 this episode is a little tip for us too to be honest. We attempt to try and explain the perfect way to wrap the perfect present. Not going to lie, it was hard trying to explain that! As we wrap everything up, we also want to remind everyone to give back and remember that not everyone has the means to celebrate the way others can. This is a time for giving, so stop being childish & give back to some strangers too. You never know what others are going through. Be kind to everyone. 

If you’re new to this, we like to assign the fam with a task of the week. Something we can focus on for the following week and try to achieve. Something that will help us all adult just a little bit better. So here it is…

Task of the week: Think back on the holidays you’ve celebrated in the past and what made them so special. Bring that with you into these next few holidays. Or try to come up with some new traditions for you and the family. Feel free to let us know what you come up with!
