Today is the eighty-year anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor and when America entered World War II. Anniversaries like this one often make people wonder, “Why is there death and suffering if there’s a good God?”
Well, the Bible explains why. God created a perfect world—there was no death or suffering no sin and no war in this original creation. But the first two people rebelled against God and brought death and suffering into creation.
After they broke creation, every person is now a sinner. Horrible things like war are a result of man’s sin. But, praise the Lord, he’s coming again and he’ll make a new heaven and earth.
