If you lowered the height of today’s mountains and raised the ocean valleys, there would be more than enough water to cover the whole surface of the earth.

This is Ken Ham, CEO of Answers in Genesis, the Creation Museum and Ark Encounter.

The short answer to the question, “Where’d the floodwaters go?” is, well, they’re still here!

You see, our planet is covered with water. If you lowered the height of today’s mountains and raised the ocean valleys, there would be more than enough water to cover the whole surface of the earth.

Now, it’s likely the world before the flood had shallower seas and lower mountains. Because fossils are found today on the tops of mountains, we know they were formed during the flood. So, the water in the oceans today could’ve easily covered the mountains at that time, just like the Bible says.

Yes, there really was a global flood, just as we read in Genesis.
