Previous Episode: Following Yonder Star?

What was the star that guided the magi from afar?

This is Ken Ham, editor of the exposé Glass House: Shattering the Myth of Evolution.

This week leading up to Christmas, we’re looking at the wise men’s journey to worship Jesus.

So, what was the star that guided them from afar?

Well, the Bible doesn’t say exactly what it was—it just says it was a light in the heavens. So, people have speculated that perhaps it was a passing of two planets a supernova or even a comet.

But a supernova or a comet would’ve been so bright, everyone would’ve noticed it—and everyone paid attention to the passing of the planets. We know it couldn’t have been that obvious because King Herod didn’t notice it.

The natural explanations all have problems. The star was likely a supernatural event sent to accomplish God’s will.
