If you read Genesis on its own you won’t find evolution or millions of years anywhere! Those ideas come from outside Scripture.

This week we’ve looked at the question, “did we evolve from apelike creatures?” And we’ve seen the Word of God gives a clear and confident “NO!” God created Adam from the dust and Eve from his side.
Now does this really matter? Can’t Christians just agree to disagree? No, and here’s why. If you read Genesis on its own you won’t find evolution or millions of years anywhere! Those ideas come from outside Scripture. So what’s really happening is the ideas of man are held up as the authority over God’s clear Word!
But humans are fallible. We should never put ourselves as authorities over God’s perfect, infallible Word!
