When it comes to the age of the earth, creation, and the flood, is it all about Genesis chapters one through eleven? Well, no! It’s actually about the whole Bible! You see, the other biblical writers took Genesis as history.
Some Christians argue Genesis is just myth or poetry, and not to be taken literally. But the apostles Paul and Peter took it literally. So did Jesus. And Jesus would know—he was there, and he’s the author of Scripture!
Over the next two weeks, we’re going to see that the New Testament is clear: Genesis is history. When people say it’s just a myth, they’re saying Jesus, Paul and Peter got it wrong. But Scripture is God-breathed, and God doesn’t lie.
