Yesterday we learned that nearly half of professing Christians believe the Bible is ambiguous on abortion. How is there such confusion, especially on a topic that’s literally a matter of life and death?
Well, it’s because, by and large, the church hasn’t taught foundationally … beginning with Genesis. It hasn’t been showing that God’s Word is the starting point for our thinking in every area. That humans alone are made in the image of God—we’re not just animals. That we’re fearfully and wonderfully made by God … known before we’re even conceived.
Killing an unborn child is murder, just as much as killing a toddler. And God’s Word is clear on murder—it’s sin.
