Many Christians believe that God could’ve used millions of years to create the world. But many haven’t thought through what this actually means.

Many Christians believe that God could’ve used millions of years to create the world. But many haven’t thought through what this actually means.
You see, the idea of millions of years comes from an interpretation of the fossil record. Now, that’s a record of the death, disease, and extinction of animals. So saying God used millions of years is saying God used death and suffering to create.
But the Bible says that God’s creation was perfect. Death and suffering are consequences of sin and the curse. They’re our fault because of our sin in Adam and our continued sin.
God didn’t use millions of years to create the world. We need to trust what God’s Word says, not man.
