We go through life looking for the best, the best of whatever we are shopping for at that point in our life. While growing up, we’re shopping for the best boy or girlfriend, the best pair of clothes and eventually the best university to get an education so that we can land the best job. The best of everything to make the best impression.
Life appears to be a search for the best.
What about politics? Do we search for the best candidate, the best party the best platform that'll align with our personal moral code or desire to see policy in action in the outer world? When do we compromise, settle, or hope that one evil is just slightly better than the other? Where to we compromise and what will that compromise cost us down the road?
Which form of government honors us as individuals, respects the privacy of citizens, and sets the stage for its citizens to thrive?
Because everything has a price.
