Lauren Orme is an award-winning animator and director based in Cardiff, South Wales. She runs animation studio and production company Picl Animation.

Lauren's animated short films have been screened at festivals around the world, and her 2019 film Cymru Wales and BFI Network-funded short Creepy Pasta Salad was shortlisted for the 2020 Best Short Animation BAFTA.

Lauren is Festival Director of Cardiff Animation Festival, and has been running events since 2014 when she founded Cardiff Animation Nights.
